Testimonial from Anna
Now that Eric has attended a few months at the dojo I feel that it is a good time to look back and measure his progress. First of all, I want to share with you how difficult it was for our family to find the right martial arts studio for Eric because of his social impairments. Being on the autism spectrum as well as having ADHD was something not all studios were experienced in or ready for. Visiting other studios was very intimidating for Eric and caused him some anxiety. He was initially timid but not afraid of entering your studio. The free trail lessons were a fantastic way of letting him see what he was going to commit to. He was hooked after one lesson.
As a parent I was worried about all the mental and physical demands martial arts training would place on him. There was a learning curve, but Eric was able to follow along well. Karla and Sergio were firm but kind in their teaching methods which is exactly what Eric needed. A few months ago I would have never guessed that Eric would be so involved and interested in progressing in karate. Now, he has moved up a belt and is excited to learn and train for the next one. He has demonstrated a new level of focus during his lessons and at home when he practices. Improvements can be seen with his ability to plan ahead and organize.
We enjoy watching his growth and progress and know that it is helping him become stronger inside and out.
Thank you. Anna
